Santiago de Chile .- (Cristián León - TopComunicaciones). With a superb victory in the Junior Cross Country Daniela Rojas, the Chilean team consolidated their victory tonight in the national rankings of the XIII Pan American Mountain Bike Championships, Chile 2009.

The demanding circuit La Ermita (Farellones Way) was the scene where the home team successfully defended the European title he had met in Venezuela 2008, after winning the final with a time of 1:21.28. The silver medal went to Argentina Verena Brunner (1:25.30) and bronze for the Ecuadorean Maria Molina (1:25.53).

THE CHAMPION OLYMPIC Curuchet JOHN RETIRES TO 44 YEARS.

Buenos Aires .- (EFE - Diego Mariano López Amaranth). Argentina's Juan Curuchet , American gold in the Olympic Games of Beijing 2008, retired from cycling Sunday at age 44 after 28 seasons of activity. Curuchet

ended his career with Argentine championship sixteenth accomplished this weekend against the competition played in his hometown of Mar del Plata.

EMOTIONS FROM START TO FINISH IN THE CUP OF CRITERIUM PROTECTO.

Barrio Escalante, Costa Rica .- (María José Fernández - Press Fecoci). After four rounds of Protecto Cup Criterium, Sunday eight riders were declared champions of the various categories involved.
