Aigle, Switzerland .- ( Press UCI). The President of the International Cycling Union Pat McQuaid, was elected to the International Olympic Committee in Vancouver, in Vancouver, Canada.
The appointment of Mr. McQuaid, 60 years old, decided at the IOC session 122, organized with the XXI Olympic Winter Games.
The election of Mr. McQuaid, a former professional cyclist who was appointed president of the IUA in 2005 and reelected for a second term in 2009, it is extremely important and an appreciation for the sport bicycle as a whole.
